Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I am working for a retail company in KSA. There was a theft found in the store. The accused confessed his guilty. He is my friend. I used to work in the store, but right now I m working in management office. After two days his manager suddenly summoned me without any notice. The reason was that the accused had made me call at 10:55pm that day. Meanwhile he had caught around 7:30pm. I was embarrased in my office. Is he has right to summon me? Please answer.

SIr, he can call you and question about the same, even though the accused may be your friend you should have immediately informed the Management, sir it is relating to the company's property.
