Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
we own 50 cent land in tamil nadu.15yrs back some people occupied it and they are refusing to vacate it.they ve built houses in it.they are not paying rent also.the village officer is helping them and he refuses to collect land tax from us.the property is in our name.presently heard there are strict rules for land grabbing in tamil nadu.please give suggestions to get our land back

Adverse possession, if continues fro more then 12 years the Original Owner losses legal right to evict the occupier, in view of law of limitation. You ought to have taken action earlier.
