Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

I have a barber shop at Kolkata which is more than 50 years old. The furtniture have bcome old which I want to repair and decorate. But my landlord is not allowing me to proceed with the work inspite of his giving permission in writing to do interior decoration work without destrying his wall. But halfway of the job, he has suddenly stopped my repairing job. Now I am in great problems as I have already paid full advance to the contractor for doing the above jobs. I also reported the entire matter to court who gave me permission vide clause 144. Even after producing the same to local police station since last 8 days, they are not allowing me to continue with the repairing job. You are requested to kindly advice me on the nmext course of action.

the courts can only come to your rescue and you may mention in your application that you are incurring loss due to your land lord and you may continue the repair unless there s a stay granted by the court of competent jurisdiction directing you not to continue the repairs.
