Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

caretaker agreement

I am taking a pagadi flat under a caretaker arrangment as the owners are going out of country, so they are appointing me as a caretaker of their house. However i am paying for the same as though i am a caretaker and is entilted to caretaker charges but as i will use that flat for my resedential purpose in thier absence i am paying them mothly some as rent. We are entering into caretaker agreement with MOU for payment details, is it valid and enforceable in law without registration

Re: caretaker agreement

The MoU / agreement may not require registration. However, you may consult a local lawyer for laws of your area.

Re: caretaker agreement

Well!! enforceability of the MOU can only be determined after perusal. Please note that caretaker agreement/MOU will not require registration if the wordings of the Agreement does not make it a Leave and License Agreement which may require registration under the local laws.
