Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Dear Sir/Madam,
If a Delhi based commercial property is let out to a tenant via an unregistered rent agreement along with monthly rent receipt, will the legal heirs of the tenant claim the possession of the property after the death of the original tenant.
Please Note : In the unregistered rent agreement it is mentioned that the tenant will hold the property for unlimited period and will do any kind of the business with anyone. However, nothing is mentioned about the transferring of the possession.
Thanks,

you may retain a lawyer for the purpose and let him peruse the unregistered rent agreement.
