Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Dear All,
we are 40 tenants staying in chawl in powai for last 35 years we are paying a small rent amount to our landlord yearly. we have 99 years lease agreement. now we approached him for redevelopment. as he is a builder too, i.e. builder cum landlord. we wanted to know what are our rights and how much area we should get in new development , is there any law regarding this.
our rooms are all grd + 1 and are is minimum 12*18 i.e 216 carpet on ground and plus the 1stfloor.
can we ask for extra for common area. please guide.
thank you
