How to evict tenant form my land

I have been given 1 Acre of wet land as dowry,but it was kept under control of my father who acts as tenant and is cultivating for more than 9 years. Due to financial difficulties I have to sell my lands but my father objected to it and sent legal notice to me against sale .His arguement is he is the tenant and land should sold without his consent. What about my position?

Under whose name the land is noted in 7/12 extracts and also let us know whether you have executed any agreement with your father or do you have any kind of share in the cultivation by your father.

You may sell alongwith tenancy rights of your father. The buyer may step into your shoes and may be entitled to all the rights you may have in the land.
