Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
my father was in mumbai from 1961 to 1978 and buy one room from landlord and stay there as tenant. From 1979 i used to stay there till 2010 and in 2010 i sold this room to developer and in june 2012 my brother filed a court case against me and demanded half share of selling amount.
What should be my stance?

As it is your Father's self acquired property all the legal heirs will have equal share unless your father had made a Will / gift in favor of someone.
