Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

My Father passed away 6 years ago.My father left us a commercial building in which the spaces have all been filled. This property is in the name of 8 of us including my mother and my grand mother. But since we were in no condition to manage this property we gave our power of attorney to my brother in law.But i have doubts on my brother in law that he might do some mischief. But the problem is that my mother and others trust him completely. So i have no voice in this case. But now the property is managed by me.But the power of attorney is still with him.According to the "POWER OF ATTORNEY",the following powers have been vested

a)To manage the properties inherited from my father(Currently this is done by me)

b)To let out shops to intending tenants(but all the spaces are filled)

C)To appear before municipalities(this done by me)

d)To obtain license ,permits(this is done by me)

e)To appear before other lawful authorities

f)to do all the needfull in connection with the managemnt of the properties

What are the kind of mischief he can do with the power vested on him...

and can i take the power of attorney back without his knowledge

You can revoke you power of attorney.

It is, however, impossible to do this without the knowledge of your brother in law. It is even very important that he is notified. You should also notify all your family members (diplomatically).

You cannot revoke these powers but the persons who have issued this POA can do so .
