Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Rahul here. From Vadodara.

I register a dastavej in sub registrar office. I bought a land and made a dastavej for that, Everything is ok but in the end last page by mistake sub-registrar made one mistake that is he has altered the buyer's and seller's name by mistake. But he is inoring his mistake and says us that this is now ONLINE and I can't do anything in this. I have bought a land and he has written my name in seller of land in the last page, apart from this whole dastavej mention that I am the buyer of the land.

Even in index copy it mention me as a seller of land. While I am the buyer. I had register on 28-9-10 and today I found this maistake on 29-9-10.

What can I do? Should I make an affidavit and register it with sub-registrar or there is nothin for me to worry even it mention MY NAME IN SELER in INDEX COPY.

What to do? I am in tension because INDEX COPY.

Please reply me urgent. Can I lodge a complaint against Sub-registrar for his mistake?

Or show me the way to change his mistake by entering my name in Buyer.

there is no need to lodge a complaint. The registrar may do the correction on index page but not on the sale deed. You prepare a correction deed on Rs. 100/- stamp paper and get that registered giving the particulars of document, the error and the correction, but both the parties have to execute and get it also registered
