Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Hi,

We are a housing society in thane dist in maharashtra. Our society is 18 years old does not have conveyance deed in our name as of now, and are in process of getting the same done from our builder. Around 3 years ago our society office bearers had given some part of our society land (they have not sold) to local municipal corporation for creating a mini garden for public use and the same had been done so.

My question is as the land does not belong to the society yet is this transaction done between the office brearer of our society and the municipal corporation is legal and moreover we are still paying the property taxes and the thesildar tax for the entire land on the landowners name.

after conveyance deed done on our society's name will the above transaction stand valid.
