landlord tenant issue

we are tenant residing in a flat for a continuous period of about 25 yrs, and now the landlord want the house back to gift it to his daughter. we have made furniture in the house long back and using it. i wanted to know about the compensation that we can claim from him, its rights and obligations, if any. the house might cost around 8 lakhs at present.

Well!!! there is no definite amount of compensation one can demand from the relinquishment of right. It will depend on various other factors. Therefore, we request you to consult a local lawyer.

You may not be entitled to any compensation. A tenant may have no right in the property except those protected by the statute of your State.

In a given situation the landlord may be entitled to seek eviction of tenant from his property .
