Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

landlord tenant

i have purchased property at chennai. the previous owner had rented out the property to tenant for godown purpose .but the tenant has been using it for cloth retail shop against the agreement between them,. he is refusing to shift the premises to sellers own place adjacently. what should i do now has i have registered the property in my name and the seller is unable to vacate the tenant. legally vacating the tenant consumes lots of time is there any quick legal remedy for this. if so how long it will take and whether the tenant can prolong the stay legally.

I feel that you have purchased headache and not a shop. You should feel lucky if even after spending lot of time you are able to obtain possession. Sorry to disappoint you there are no short cuts.However consult some local lawyer as rent laws are different from state to state.

sorry short cuts are not available in law but advocates use tactics to evade technicalities.

consult a local lawyer there but i dont feel that u will be able to get it vacated in short time ... if u worked as per law. otherwise u can take possession by force also.

anyway file case for misuser of the premises

first of all contact a lawyer and serve this person with a legal notice that would be an important part of procedure and you can always file a suit as the party of the first part is in breach to the agreement
