Lift for a Ground + 5 story building

Hello,

We are living in south mumbai since 35 years now. our building is ground + 5 story. We desperately need lift in our building as my father is a heart patient and we reside on the 5th floor. Our building has enough space to build up a lift. Our land lord is not replying to us even after several meetings. What is the way out?

You can insist upon your landlord to comply with the regulations and your contract; and on his failure you may first approach the authorities; and then go to court.
