Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

I was living in a rented house in Gurgaon from 2007-2009. I need a verification report from police station of that area stating that there is no criminal case against me in that police station. Please tell me is it possible. How to get that since i currently live in another city.

Are you presently living in Indian Instititute of Technology - Kharagpur, West Midnapore P O in Kolkata ? Have the local police authorities in West Midnapore asked you to get the Police Clearance Report from Gurgaon ? Is it for the purpose of acquiring a new passport or renewal of your old passport ?
