Pagadi System
My grand father had purchase a house in Mumbai and 2 generations we are staying there & we are paying the rent but the receipt is on xyz name which we have not yet transfer as the owner pagdi system was demanding for more than 1 lakh and it was every time pending due to negiotation but he sell the Bldg and New Owner - pagadi System is demanding 4 lakhs. Is there any legal way to transfer to save a cost???

Unfortunately, there is no law to determine the anount to be charged by the landlord. It depends on the negotiations amongst the parties.
