Dear Sir / Madam,
Your father should request the landlord in writing of his no objection to transfer the tenancy and the rent receipt in your name.
Regards,
Is your father alive ? Please clarify......Please check Sanjay Kalra and Associates on the internet to know more about our law firm and the legal services we are rendering for our clients from all over the World.
'Ownership' cannot be transferred. Only 'tenancy can be transferred. That too, if your father is alive with his and landlord's consent, not otherwise. If your father is not alive, then you can request your landlord to transfer the tenancy, and if he declines; you can go for a RAD suit.
