rent basis
i live in a society for 16 years for rent of 300 p.m. but now they refuse to give us the rent receipt from 2009 and harrass us to quit the place

You may make payment of rent by demand draft/cheque.

your case would be covered under the relevant rent control act.
You can either tender the rent through cheque
or some state acts have the provision of depositing teh same in court as well
