If the rent bond original is missing during the course of proceeding in the court

copy of the rent bond is available

judge says case will be dismissed if there is no original

please explain

yes, the case may be dismissed in absence of original document. as per evidence act, the copy of a document cannot be relied upon unless admitted by all the parties.

copy of the rent bond can't be admitted as evidence if opposite party challenges the same. You have to prove to the court first that original is missing before requesting the court to admit copy of document .
