Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
the rental premise is on father in laws name. my husband expired i requested the landlord to transfer the said premise on my name, for which he replied saying you can stay free on my premise and i will not accept your rent. i need to know what was on his mind for such behaviour. I keep on sending a registered letter with the amount of rent by cheque which he refuse to accept. Now in this case what shall I do where is this situation going to lead to. now the building is in a diplicated situation notices are being given by the BMC authorities he shows no interest. the landlord accepted the rent from my husband when his father expired...but now why does he not accept rent from me while i am ready to pay him the rent???

simple he wants the premise for his own use and does'nt wish to rent the same . Contact a local lawyer with full facts
