Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Thanks for your reply sir.
I am really surprised that in the kind of situation I am I don't have any legal remedy!. My doubts are:
1. (As I mentioned in the earlier post) in the first week of Nov we (me and landlord) signed couple of pages containing terms and conditions of the agreement. Note this did not have any stamp paper nor name and address of the licensor. Whats legal status of this document?
2. As you mentioned I don't want any litigation and have decided to vacate the premises. But I have sufficient reasons to believe that the landlord is not going to return my deposit easily. Can I lock the premises after vacating (following due procedure) and ask him to return the deposit first ( he gave the key only after taking the deposit cheque)

I dont know your earlier post but
yes you can even refuse to vacate.
Coz if u r paying regularly then he cannot vacate the permises without any proper stand.
