Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

rights of tenant

That I hired a shop in commercial area.

That there is no agreement between me and the landlord.

That the electric supply is from the electric connection (domestic) of the landlord who lives in the same house.

That there is a submetre in my shop which shows the electricity consumption in the shop.

That landlord charges the electricity used on commercial rates.

That I want to take a commercial connection on my own name but the landlord denies to give written consent for the same.

That whenever there is any checking (inspection) by the elecrical department who will be responsible for the use of domestic electricity in commercial premises?

no owner will allow the tenant to hold the electric connection in his name!

you get a commercial electrical connection in the name of the owner!

the cost and expenses.. who will bare? .. a billion dollar question?

then all other taxes and charges will apply ... probably the owner is evading for that reason
