roof leakage, illegal managing committee member

1. Last 5 years inspite of our repeated requests, society managing committee is not carrying out any roof water proofing work. roof is leaking for last 7 years.

2. What is minimum period required for new member to become society managing committee member i.e. secretary?

You may need to refer to the relevant bye-laws of the Society alongwith the statutory provisions contained in Cooperative Societies Act and the Rules made thereunder in your State.

Please read the bye laws relating to the Co-operative Societies Act for the concerned state.

Ordinarily, there is no time limit for any person to become secretary.
