Dear Sir / Madam,
(Aarey Milk Colony, Goregaon East, Mumbai)
In the event you are purchasing the shop or taking it on Leave and License, you can request the shop owner to show you the Share Certificate and the Society Bill to confirm that the shop is in the name of the member. You may also verify with the name appearing on the electricity bill or telephone bill of the shop. All these documents will give you comfort and an assurance as to the shop's ownership, to go ahead with your deal. Legal heirs have nothing to do with the transaction.

If it was converted to ownership from tenancy, you need not look beyond conversion date. For more clarity one will need to have a look at the documents, and seacrh also may be necessary.
