Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Hello Sir,
I am Prashant, living in Mumbai. We have 2 Gala which was given to the another person on rent, my father is the Owner of that property. In 1970 We give these property on rent that time they give us Rs. 7000/- per one time and Rs 100/- per month rent. from last 2 years we charge Rs 500/- per month for a rent.
their is not any written documentation all is on Mutual Basis. (means we gave these room to that person on rent basis is not in written format). my father pay all Govt. Tax And Manciple Tax.
My question is can i increase the rent for that Gala and how much is the possible rent or Can i told that person to for leaving that gala. Because I want to started my own business on that place.

you can negotiate with the person who takes the gala on rent.
