Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
I am staying in a pagdi system room from last 40years since my birth . my building is owned by a charitable trust.since jan 2011 no trustees are alive and the rent is collected by one of the trustees daughter-in-law who is authorised to collect rent. due to demise of my father who was the tenant of the said room and i being the only legal heir is ready to pay the monthly rent but the rent collector is demanding charges for transmission/transfer of the room. Please advise me whether her demand is right. pls reply
