Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
i have been staying in my present flat (pagdi rental bldg) and have been paying the rent for the past 50 years. However, i did not get the rent receipt transferred in my name. I now wish to have it done. The landlord is prepared to do it for a price and has only asked for an indeminty bond from me. My question is, do i need to have a tenancy agreement for this and have it registered?
