Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

Tenant not evicting or paying rent

I have a widow tenant staying at our rented house and she has not paid rent for last 2 years. She refused to evict or pay and has even called and sent a summon that we have cut the water connection, which along with other allegations is completely untrue. She has been a nightmare. What our options to get our house evicted.

Re: Tenant not evicting or paying rent

You may consider filing a suit for eviction; of the premises are covered under Rent Laws of your State, you may approach the court of "Rent Controller" for eviction on the ground of non-payment of rent, besides other grounds that may be available to you as per advice you may receive from the counsel you may engage for the purpose.
