Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India

I am a tenant for the last 34 years in a flat which has been sublet by the previous tenant and since i am unable to pay rs 2.50 lacs to the landlord for transfer of the flat in my name, can the landlord evict me. Also the rent is Rs. 350/- per month how much can the landlord increase my rent. he is asking for Rs. 2000/- and since i am retired can i appeal in court for a less rent and less pudgi for change of name.

Mr.Pawse is right.

But in nutshell, you can cliam for restriction to the landlord and for the rent but cannot claim anything else.
