Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in India
Tenanted property-3
Thanks to all for your valuable replies.
I want to make the following things clear, as under:
- after withdrawal what will be my status.. will the sisters in law staying with her for taking care of her, claim after her death as the intervening doors for R.No. 13 & 14 are still closed, as it is heard that the person staying with the tenant at the time of his/her death can claim his/her property(though her name is not tranfered). My husband also takes care but he goes to work.
- R.No 13 is not transferred in my husband's name, just agreement is available.. rent is also not paid since then. The room was purchased in 1968 with agreement. we did receive notices from land lord for rent payment in 1985 & 1991 but no idea about the further action.
- The land lord was asking for one room (we have one room kitchen each for R.No. 13 & 14) for transferring the name in my husband's name for R.No. 13. to which my Mother in law paid no heed.
- How can i make it legal.
- I have claimed 13& 14 as a one unit, will i get one flat when is goes for redevelopment.
Pls help.
Regards,
dimple
