Dear Sir,
What it the maximum priod to file a case / notice against bounce cheque ?
can we file case after 1 year?
(if payer has requestinh & promissing for long period But not paid amt after 1 year ?)
What is the legal action we can take against the payer???

a complaint u/s 138 cannot be filed after one year of bouncing of cheque but you can file a civil suit for recovery u/o 37 of civil procedure code.
