sir i want add surname with my name . I am facing problem because of my single name ..

can u please tell me the legal process of changing name javed to "javed ali chauhan"..

Steps as follows

- Prepare an affidavit on a 100 Rupees stamp paper.

- get it notarized.

- advertise in two national newspaper in regional language and other language as well.

- get your information printed in national gazzette of India and you are done.

- there is a nominal fees for print in gazzette, and list of docs that you would need to furnish.
