As per Advocates Act, lawyers in India are not allowed to take any other employment except with the permission of the concerned Bar Council.

a lawyer cannot be employed for gain while in active practise. u may refer to advocates act for this purpose.

Not only in India but in other parts of the world do not permit to get employment to Advocates while they are in practice. They may cease their license before they take employment.
