Legal Question in Military Law in India

I am asking this because he is my boy friend and he isnt sikh i am sikh, so my parents have said him to become sikh other wise no chances, i dont want him to change his religion because i am not so selfish, thats why was just searching that the answer to the question should be no but unfortunately it was yes.

according to law, sikh, jain, budhhists are also considered Hindu. in the olden times, one brother was hindu and another sikh. i do not think that your parents demand is unjustified and the boy should not mind adopting sikh religion as it is an off shoot of hindu religion only. in gurbani, there are quotes of hindu gods and goddesses.
