Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

Dear Sir, my grand mother torture my mother mentally. She not only torture my mother but also tortures to me, my father, sister, aunt etc. I told my mother to file a case under IPC 498A against my grandmother. But my mother and father fear to file a case against her. So I want to know that Can I file a case against my grandmother to save my mother as well as father, sister and family? Who can file a case under IPC 498A to protect a woman. If I cannot file a case under 498A, then how can I protect my family and give legal punishment to my grandmother?

either she has to file the case or you can file on her behalf but you have to make sure that she sticks to the stand taken by you and does not retract in the court. she has another option of filing a domestic violence complaint against her mother in law.
