Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

i was driving a two wheeler and met an accident with an another person on two wheeler who was turning with out indicator... we both dashed and fell down and both wer injured.... at that time police came on the spot and we both wer sent to hospital through ambulance.. but police took only my vehicle to police station.. though it was the other persons fault.. police did not know the matter about how iit all happend.... y did they take my vehicle only...? my age is 19. i have license... they say tat the other person has to come and say tat he wil not file case.. only then ill get my bike...

They will give u back the vehicle after Motor Vehicle Inspector Inspection and Report. All the vehicles involved in the accident must be sent to MVI for inspection to assess damage and efficiency of vehicle's in brake. Whether FIR Registered of not?
