Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

Hi, I got a phone call from one of the state police station that there is an FIR against my name on accident with my vehicle registration number. This is the place where I lived 4 years ago and I got my vehicle to my current living place 4 years back and I have never visited my previous state again.
My queries are, at this point of time, I have no idea about the genuinity of the information, or details of this FIR, I am scared to take initiative, coz, if this is not genuine, i will get pulled in.. At the same time I do not want PS to take this as escaping, as the information in FIR is incorrect.
Please help me on when to act, Should I wait for PS to formmally send the documents to me? Should I call up and ask them to send me the doc??

First of all inquire by phone to concern police station and ask FIR no.

Than go to concern court and obtain certified copy of the FIR.

You can move to High Court for quashing the complaint.

If you not having sufficient fund you can avail legal aids also.
