Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

Sir, My Younger Brother related only consanguineously had been living independent and with his spouse far away has been assaulting my mom & myself & my youngest Brother at the place where we reside and time & again threatens our lives. About more than an year back My mother had lodged a Police complaint against the person mentioned and also sought for protecting us in the same complaint, but soon after a few months then He broke my arm and went absconding for a shortwhile. He has been causing a great deal of annoyance and threatening all of us to take out our llives. Please suggest a relevant legal remedy to keep him away for good for long keeping in mind the safety aspect of us all.
