Legal Question in Real Estate Law in
in 2008, i contracted to sell my residential flat to a working lady who paid me rs. 2 lacs as token money. she then applied for a bank loan for 13.25 lacs and also gave 2 cheques for collectively 1.75 lacs. The buyers paid 55600 as stamp duty and another 15600 as regitration fees. Meanwhile her two cheques for 1.75 lac bounced for insuffecient funds and her bank loan has been rejected. Now she wants her money back and also the stamp duty. She has also filed false cases against me citing that i threatend her by showing knife, hitting her and outraging her modesty. She is taking undue advantate of laws. what do i do now.

filing a case is easy but not proving it. you may contest and also file a criminal complaint for dishonour of cheques.
if the flat is in your possession, you may amicably settle the matter.
