Dear Sir / Madam,

The parent(s) who adopt a girl child pledge that they will take care of the educational needs and support her financially till she becomes a major and is independent to maintain herself. It may extend beyond that time frame, but it is at the discretion of the parent(s) whether they wish that she will have a share in their property or not. There is no hard and fast rule thrust on the parent(s) or compulsion by law.
