Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Amnesty scheme

My dad had purchased a flat in 1980-81, we had registered that flat & paid stamp duty also, but unfortunately now we dont have original docs neither.Also we do not have original docs of first buyer.ouris 2nd purchase.cost of the flat at time of purch was 2-2.5 lacs but now its ard 25lacs.

Can we get it registered now in amnestry scheme?How much we have to pay?

Re: Amnesty scheme

Firstly,what is this amnesty scheme at all,come on..you are not allowed to do whatever you like and play with rules framed by govt.

Lastly,when there is a provision to apply for a duplicate copy of the originals if lost,missed,stolen,etc.Why do you want to spend money again and stamp duty is different from registration.Without paying full stamp duty nobody can get the documents registered.

Re: Amnesty scheme

There is no scheme of amnesty for registration.

Re: Amnesty scheme

(1) You may obtain "duplicate copy" of the sale deed executed in favour of the first and the second owners;

2) If you have already paid the stamp duty, you may not apply for registeration again nor would you have to think about the 'amnesty' scheme.
