Amnesty scheme 2008
I have purchased my flat on 5.3.1975. Do I have to pay any stamp duty or register the document under the amnesty scheme, 2008.

Note that no deficiency is required to be made good of Stamp Duty where documents has been executed and registered.

Your title cannot be questioned by anybody at this stage. However, for other collateral purposes you may choose to get registeration of your conveyance deed.

If conveyance in favour of society already executed and registered, then you may not required to pay stamp duty.
Otherwise, apply as per procedure prescribed under the Amnesty Scheme. Details are available on the web site of Stamp & Registration Dept.
