Amnesty Scheme Stamp Duty

Done agreement of resale flat in oct.85. I am purchaser.Agreement is on Rs. 5 stamp paper. What to do ? is it require to pay stamp duty? Tell me the procedure. Location- Thane city.

Where sale deed has been executed and registered, no need to pay heed if duty has been increased.

If conveyance in favour of society already executed and registered, then you may not required to pay stamp duty.

Otherwise, apply as per procedure prescribed under the Amnesty Scheme. Details are available on the web site of Stamp & Registration Dept.
