Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
We have ancestral house in Maharashtra built in 1905 as per paper. the property was auctioned in 1944 and we do not have details. House tax was paid in uncle's name till 1970 who settled in Mumbai. After death of our mother we left house and stayed with elder sister at Goa where I later got job and settled and house was unoccupied but key was with me. In 1987 my younger sister(married) requested for key of house to stay since her husband was working in same place. She stayed there and without our knowledge register her name in Panchayat. When we came to know we insisted to include our name and then I paid tax in my name and repaired the house. I again left to Goa and came after a week and I found sister locked the gate and refused entry. I came to know from her lawyer he advised her to protect her interest not allowing me to enter. Now what is the solution to get in the house.
