Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Ancestral House Property

We have ancestral House at Wardha (1928) which was constructed by our grandfathers (all deceased). Some coparseners are living in this house. Some Coparseners (daughters) are living out of Maharashtra. These daughters want that whole property to be sold out so that they can get their share in money form. However some coparsaners are not intersted to sale this property. Daughters are asking for market value of the property which is very high. How this dispute can be solved. Can there be any remedy so that daughters get their share without selling out the property. These daughters have locked the premises which comes in their share. Please reply.

Re: Ancestral House Property

No coparcener can compel other coparcener to sell the house. As far as sell of undivided share or interest of one or more coparcener is concerned, it is entirely a matter of mutual agreement.
