ancestral house

an will was made by my mother for an residential property having two floors. i reside in first floor. can i make an registration of first floor in my name and these papers can be used as a pledge to a bank for a loan purpose.

Yes,you can do but prior to that you have to complete certain formalities.

is your mother alive and if yes then you cannot rely on Will, get a gift deed or settlement deed in favour of you. if your mother is not alive then in that case change the khata in the Municipal records. and then you can take loan.

Upon demise of your mother, according to will share in the property given to you can be pledged.
