Applicability of Non occupancy charges in co op housing society.
I am a member of Co.Op Housing society. In my flat I am not residing and my brother is residing alongwith my daughter. My society is charging Non Occupancy charges. Kindly guide me on this .

There is nothing wrong.You represent the society that flat is under your occupation and you daughter is residing there,so the Non Occupancy charges is not liable to be paid.

Non-occupancy charges are merely 10% more than usual charges. Since the member is not in use/occupation of the flat, the society can claim non-occupancy charges.
