Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

In Bangalore, BBMP have introduced a new PID numbering system for properties. Is the new PID supposed to be kept confidential by each property owner (The numbering, though new, is fully sequential anyway, so I doubt it myself)?

I know it's not a full legal question, but falls under the ambit of law, hence the question. Thanks

Check with BBMP.

However, property identification numbers are generally not kept secret as they form part of public record which may be obtained by any person.
