Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I booked a flat in January 2012 and paid through cheques five lakh rupees but there is a delay from my side in arranging the amount due to builder as a result builder has cancelled the booking though builder has sent emails asking for money but there was no written communication from them except registered post of cancelllation letter. There is no written agreement with builder for the said flat. What i can do if i dont want to cancel the booking and im ready to pay outstanding amount and what if he doesn't agree to it...

you may approach the consumer forum and file a complaint against the builder.
