Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I had bought a flat near Mumbai and paid the stamp duty on it. Thereafter the builder had some FSI issue and offered me another flat of the same value.I entered into a deed of rectfication which was registered. Do I need to pay stamp duty again? There was no additional monetary transaction during this transfer.

Deed of Rectification generally imply that since beganning you intended to purchase flat stated in that deed and flat stated in the original agreement was wrong or erroneous.
If same is true in your case also, then prima facie you may not be required to be pay stamp duty.
Get the original agreement and rectification deed vetted by a qualified and well versed lawyer.
